ANDREW J. SNIDER

Hi, I’m Andrew.

CI Immersion is my complete system for teaching languages through comprehension, meaningful interaction, and repeated encounters with language.

I have developed and refined the system over more than 15 years of classroom teaching. It brings together the routines, approaches, and smaller instructional systems that help me make decisions in the classroom.

At the center is a belief that comprehension and meaningful communication belong at the heart of language instruction. The work is connecting that belief to what happens each day: the questions we ask, the stories we read, the routines we build, and what we choose to assess.

The system continues to evolve. On the podcast, I explain the instructional system and the choices I make in class. Through professional development, I work with educators to understand these approaches and make them useful in their own classrooms.
